BIO

She holds a Bachelor’s degree and a PhD in Educational Sciences. She is a Full Professor at the University of Salamanca, Faculty of Education, affiliated with the Department of Didactics, Organization, and Research Methods. She is also a member of the University Institute of Educational Sciences (IUCE).

As a lecturer and researcher in the field of Educational Innovation and Technology, her research lines focus on teacher training in digital competence, the assessment of students’ digital competences, and the integration of digital tools within active methodologies and innovative practices.

She is a member of the research group Innovation and Digital Education (EduDIG) at the University of Salamanca and serves on the Academic Committee of the PhD Program Training in the Knowledge Society, offered at the IUCE.

She participates in the most relevant research networks in Spain: the University Network of Educational Technology (RUTE), the Association for the Development of Educational Technology and New Technologies Applied to Education (EDUTEC), the Educational Innovation Network (REUNI+D), and the Transdisciplinary Network for Educational Research (RETINDE).

She has received the María de Maeztu Award from the University of Salamanca for Research Excellence. She holds six recognized research periods (“sexenios”), has published more than 100 articles in indexed journals, over 50 book chapters, and 17 books with prestigious publishing houses.
